Punga Cove Resort - Marlborough Sounds

Our asbestos division was called in to assist with the demolition of the storm-damaged restaurant/bar and jetty at Punga Cove in the Marlborough Sounds. The site had been hit hard by a storm surge, and safe removal of asbestos-containing materials was a critical step in the cleanup and rebuild process. Access to the site was by boat only, which posed some logistical challenges—but our team adapted quickly and got the job done safely and efficiently. Working in such a remote and stunning location was a welcome change of pace, and the team relished the opportunity to operate in the heart of the Sounds. Despite the tough access and conditions, we delivered high-standard asbestos removal that helped pave the way for the site's redevelopment.
